Texas Spirit Soccer Club

Thanks for visiting the team website for the Texas Spirit North 01 Girls. The team plays in Lake Highlands Division II and trains at the Flower Mound YMCA every Monday & Wednesday, from 6pm to 7:30pm. May 12-13 - Ft. Worth, Texas – Last weekend made you feel a little extra proud to be associated with the Texas Spirit North 01 Team. The Girls played 5 games in two days and advanced to the Cowtown Championship Match Sunday morning, where they faced off against Lake Highlands rival Dallas Texans FW.

From the kickoff, it was evident that the Texas Spirit team came ready to play. Even before the game, Coach Quen noted that there was a calm atmosphere. Texas Spirit controlled possession the entire first half, hit the cross bar once and left post once but was not able to score. In the second half, the Texans intercepted a pass, quickly countered and was able to score a goal in the 42nd minute. Texas Spirit went right back to work and continued to play strong and even dominated at times, but were never able to equalize.

Congratulations to the Texas Spirit North 01 Team for an excellent weekend of soccer. The girls played great! 

The team will be playing in an outdoor 8v8 League at Game On Athletics starting in June. The season will be 6 weeks and games will be played every other Saturday.
