Texas Spirit North 01 – Win Game On Winter Futsal Championship

Feb. 9, Denton, Texas - The Texas Spirit North 01 girls wrapped up a stellar futsal season last night by defeating both the AFC 00 Black and AFC 00 Red teams in the Game On Athletics Winter Futsal playoffs. Looking for tougher competition, in preparation for the Spring Lake Highlands Season, Coach Quen Willis made the decision to register the team in the 00’ Futsal Division. Coach and the girls were looking for tough competition and they found it. The entire season was a battle and the 01 Spirit team found excellent competition with both AFC 00 teams, also Lake Highlands Teams, and plan on scheduling friendly matches with the AFC teams in the future. Tonight’s Championship shows how far the Texas Spirit North 01 girls have come. The team is in their first year of Lake Highlands play and kick the Spring season off next week. Great job and good luck this season ladies!


Texas Spirit North 01 Make Lake Highlands D1

Texas Spirit North 01 girls did Texas Spirit proud over the last two weeks at the LHGCL Qualification Tournament. The Texas Spirit North 01 girls won their Round II bracket and have officially qualified for Lake Highlands Division I. The girls played hard over both qualification tournament weekends and earned their spot. Congratulations and good luck this coming season.


Texas Spirit 96 Qualify for Lake Highlands D3

 The Texas Spirit 96 girls placed second in their bracket and qualified for Lake Highlands D3.  Congratulations to Coach Rocky and all of the girls! Good luck with the upcoming season!

  • The Spirit 97 North team will be going to the President's Cup.
  • Texas Spirit is forming a new 97 Red team in Plano.  Please contact Adam Clark for more information (amdl05@aol.com).
  • The Spirit 98 North team won the Mobile Bay Spring Classic in May.
  • Two Spirit players received Lake Highland's Scholarship awards.  Check it out at www.girlsclassicleague.net.

The Texas Spirit SC European Tour 2012

The Texas Spirit SC European Tour is a specially designed and coordinated tour for U14 and U16 Texas Spirit SC teams. The goal of the Texas Spirit SC European Tour is to provide selected club players an excellent soccer playing experience and opportunity to travel and compete in Denmark and Sweden, which is the world’s largest youth international tournament with over 1,600 teams from 60 This tour will provide players with outstanding coaching and a top-notch, professionally coordinated soccer tour from training to friendly matches to tournament competition in the Gothia Cup different countries.
